A DAY AT THE ZOO

A DAY AT THE ZOO

So by now you probably know that I love taking photos of animals.

Although I prefer to take photos of animals in their wild habitat, a day at the zoo is always a good opportunity for seeing stunning creatures that we wouldn’t normally see.

At this zoo in France, we got up close to grizzly bears, otters and raccoons etc but my favourite experience was feeding marmots (they are so greedy). I didn’t realise but marmots are one of the largest members of the squirrel family. They are extremely friendly… as long as you have some food in your hand 🙂

Please have a look at some of the photos I managed to capture whilst at our day at the zoo…

The marmots had orange teeth from all the carrots they ate

This cheeky monkey went straight for the backpack – he was half way through unzipping it before we notice what he was up to.

The bears were not very quick at catching their food…

Marmots looking like they are saying a prayer together 🙂
